Job Description
Assistant/Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education is a permanent tenure-track 9-month appointment involving teaching, research, and service.


Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the position are to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood education or related areas, supervise teacher candidates, serve on doctoral committees, advise graduate candidates, engage in scholarly research and participate in curriculum revision/development, collaborate with Willie Price (UM pre-school program) and to develop practicum experiences for students.


Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must have an earned doctorate in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field, or be within one semester of completing the doctorate (ABD) with earned doctorate by December 2019, and must have at least 2 years experience in early childhood or a closely related setting, a strong research background, the ability to work with the professional community, potential for grant writing and research, and must be familiar with standards-based early childhood curriculum and performance-based teacher education assessments.
