Definition of Class

This position performs a variety of technical duties involved in conducting standardized tests in support of research oriented activities. The incumbent provides assistance that may include conducting standardized tests, setting up instruments, material, and apparatus, operating standard equipment required for specific tasks, maintaining sufficient inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment, cleaning and maintaining standard laboratory equipment, etc.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Performs a variety of technical duties involved in conducting standardized tests.
  • Obtains data in support of research-oriented activities.
  • Compiles and documents procedures and results.
  • Maintains sufficient inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment for performance of duties.  
  • Cleans and maintains standard laboratory equipment.
  • Sets up instruments, material, and apparatus.  
  • Operates standard equipment required for specific tasks.
  • Provides assistance to students working in the lab.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Functions

  1. Performs a variety of technical duties involved in conducting standardized tests and making determinations in support of research oriented activities.
  2. Cleans and operates standard laboratory equipment.  

     

Minimum Education/Experience


Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

 

AND

 

Experience:
One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.
