Journalism, English, Art, IMC or similar majors are encouraged to apply; however, professional work experience may serve as a substitute to classroom experience for other majors.

Examples of Work Performed
  • Help produce signage, promotional materials and graphics for library events, exhibits and initiatives.
  • Perform online research as needed to aid in producing and improving library publications and social media.
  • Help produce e-newsletters, invitations and reports.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with the creation of social media content to promote University libraries, special events and initiatives.
  • Proofing, editing and ensuring accessibility of all library social media accounts.
  • Perform online research as needed to aid in producing and improving library social media and marketing.
  • Assist in taking photos and video for printed promotional materials, library website and social media.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience

Experience in one or more of the following:

  • Canva Design Platform
  • Adobe Design Software such as Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
  • Digital Photography  
  • Video/Film recording and editing using software such as iMovie, Premiere or Final Cut
  • Writing and editing for public relations, journalism, or marketing.
  • Creating social media content for campus departments, organizations or businesses
  • Podcasting
  • Writing and editing for public relations, journalism, or marketing.
Salary/Wage Information

Pay Rate: $7.40
