Definition of Class

Coordinator Outreach Programs I

This position coordinates and participates in the collection and maintenance of records associated with the registration and enrollment of students, the collection of tuition and fees, and the preparation and distribution of course materials. The incumbent reviews evaluations to make recommendations on rehiring faculty, assists in formulating class schedules, and acts as advisor for students in dual enrollment regarding academic matters.

 

Coordinator Outreach Programs II

This position manages the collection and maintenance of records associated with the registration and enrollment of students, the collection of tuition and fees, and the preparation and distribution of course materials. The incumbent reviews evaluations to make recommendations on rehiring faculty, makes recommendations for policy, formulates class schedules, assists in establishing budget for programs and advises students regarding academic matters.

 

The University of Mississippi Division of Outreach is hiring a Coordinator I or ll for the iStudy academic program within the Office of College Programs. iStudy provides self-paced online academic courses that enhance educational access for students with particular scheduling needs or matriculation goals. This position advises and counsels prospective and current students in policies and procedures; processes and coordinates the applications and enrollments; prepares reports reflecting enrollment trends and other data; provides student support services focused on online and asynchronous learning; and assists in promoting the program to internal and external prospective students.

Examples of Work Performed


•    Coordinates with site personnel the admission and enrollment of students.
•    Maintains confidential records of students enrolled in outreach programs.
•    Counsels and advises current and prospective students in iStudy policies and procedures.
•    Coordinates the admissions and enrollment processes with the central University offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, and other affected administrative offices.
•    Interfaces with appropriate academic and administrative offices to secure approval enrollments and resolve problems arising from admissions processes.
•    Recommends policy and procedure adjustments.
•    Prepares regular and special reports reflecting enrollment trends, enrollment distributions, or other applications and enrollment data as requested.
•    Coordinates and participates in the maintenance of financial records for program.
•    Provides student support services focused on online and asynchronous learning.
•    Supports updates and revision of courses in Blackboard, as needed.
•    Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including current students, faculty, and partner programs.
•    Assists in marketing and promoting program to internal and external prospective students.
•    Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Education/Experience

Coordinator Outreach Programs I

Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

AND
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties.

 

Coordinator Outreach Programs II

Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

AND
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience related to the above described duties.
