Department Summary
The Division of Enrollment Management guides prospective students on their journey of joining the Ole Miss community. Our unit consists of the offices of admissions, financial aid, and campus visit and orientation programs. We also have staff dedicated specifically to enrollment marketing and communications and data analytics.

Role Summary
Performs technical work in the support of the marketing team.
The Marketing Specialist performs technical work in support of the marketing and communications team. Candidates should be skilled writers and creative thinkers who are adept at developing content that resonates with prospective students and families in a unique, differentiating, and cohesive way.
The Marketing Specialist collaborates with and supports professionals from other internal units within Enrollment Management to coordinate, create, produce, and distribute marketing materials primarily focused on email marketing. The person in this position will also be responsible for ensuring that all materials adhere to university brand standards and ensure that all materials are maintained, organized, and archived accordingly. In addition, the Marketing Specialist drafts and shares reports with enrollment team leadership. Candidates may work with tools such as TargetX/Salesforce, Slate, Sprout Social, Cascade8 (content management), Canva, among others.

The University of Mississippi is seeking a Marketing Specialist responsible for supporting the marketing and communications team within Enrollment Management with a number of different initiatives and projects to generate support for the division and provide cohesive and current information to prospective students and families:
1. Assists in developing strategies and campaigns focused on email marketing
2. Summarizes and shares data
3. Ensures promotional materials are maintained
4. Modifies materials as directed by professional staff
5. Provides support to internal staff as it relates to marketing and communication needs
Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Drafts meeting notes and prepares materials including updated project benchmarks and research information to support marketing projects, campaigns, and work unit personnel.
2. Summarizes market tracking and research data from distributed market surveys.
3. Assists in developing creative marketing strategies and multimedia campaigns by creating and distributing draft materials to a variety of project participants.
4. Ensures promotional materials are maintained.
5. Modifies materials as directed by professional staff.
6. Schedules meetings of project stakeholders, including external vendors as required to maintain project timelines and responds to initial questions.

Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business, English, graphic design, or similar field,
