Definition of Class
This position oversees the provision of health and wellness programming for the university community. The incumbent directs the day-to-day programming activities and supervises the staff of the Student Wellbeing arm of the Magee Center for AOD and Wellness Education.
Examples of Work Performed
- Oversees the associated activities of the wellness education programing and services such as WellChats and coaching, to include fiscal issues, marketing activities, and training efforts.
- Provides supervision and training to assigned individuals.
- Serves as information resource for students, staff, and faculty.
- Oversees the scheduling and promoting of health and wellness programing and services; facilitates programs and services, and participates in related assessment activities.
- Coordinates and participates in the creation of educational materials.
- Provides ongoing health and wellness programing through lectures, workshops, seminars, and large-scale events.
- Schedules appointments, conducts sessions, and performs follow-up for individual counseling sessions related to health issues.
- Conducts research and assists with health and wellbeing related research in collaboration and with the oversight of the William Magee Institute.
- Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.
Essential Functions

- Serves as information resource for students, staff, and faculty.
- Supervises personnel within the William Magee Center Wellness programming arm of the William Magee Center for AOD and Wellness Education.
Minimum Education/Experience
Education:
Master’s Degree in health promotion or a related field from an accredited college or university.
AND
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience related to the above described duties.
Substitution Statement: Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
