Position Description

The Department of Philosophy and Religion invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position with the title of Assistant Professor of Philosophy, beginning August 2026.  A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in philosophy or religious studies in hand by August 2026, with a specialty in Bioethics/Biomedical Ethics.  The teaching load is 3/2, with expectations of excellent teaching, continued research, and university service. The candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory, upper-level, and graduate courses and will be able to develop new courses consistent with expertise and interests.

Minimum Qualifications

A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in philosophy or religious studies in hand by August 2026, with a specialty in Bioethics/Biomedical Ethics.
