Ole Miss Athletics is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing to coordinate, create, develop, and execute marketing campaigns that enhance the Ole Miss fan experience during athletic events. The incumbent will compose game day scripts, oversee game day groups during events, and will select and manage the work of interns.

Role Summary

Performs technical work in the support of the marketing team. 

 

This position coordinates, creates, develops, and executes marketing campaigns that enhance the Ole Miss fan experience during athletic events. The incumbent composes game day scripts, oversees game day groups during events, selects and manages the work of interns.

Examples of Work Performed

· Develops, coordinates and executes campaigns for increasing season ticket sales and game attendance.
· Creates game day strategies and scripts for marketing and promotions.
· Oversees traditional advertising efforts (radio, print, etc.), as well as digital marketing efforts through Paciolan.
· Lead marketing efforts for Volleyball and Baseball with responsibilities including, but now limited to:
        -Develop marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing revenue, attendance and communityengagement.
        -Campus and student support
        -Schedule and lead Core Unit meetings
        -Construct and execute game scripts
        -Attend assigned events.

· Assist with the game day experience and execution of Ole Miss athletics competition dates and special events.

· Schedules email marketing campaigns.

· Acts as marketing liaison for each team, as well as Ole Miss Athletics Foundation.

· Monitors and responds to fan community, as appropriate, with regards to requests for posters, schedule cards, donations, autographs, and other promotional materials.

· Assists with distribution of complimentary tickets to groups while ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations for athletic events & meetings.

· Manages Graduate Assistant program.

· Meets and contacts philanthropy groups, university groups, and other outside vendors for partnerships at athletic events.

· Ensures all assigned tasks are compliant with department, University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

· Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

 

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following.  Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

1. Drafts meeting notes and prepares materials including updated project benchmarks and research information to support marketing projects, campaigns, and work unit personnel.
2. Summarizes market tracking and research data from distributed market surveys.
3. Assists in developing creative marketing strategies and multimedia campaigns by creating and distributing draft materials to a variety of project participants.
4. Ensures promotional materials are maintained.
5. Modifies materials as directed by professional staff.
6. Schedules meetings of project stakeholders, including external vendors as required to maintain project timelines and responds to initial questions. 

Minimum Education/Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field

Experience:
