Department Summary
This position represents the core of the Alumni Association office and what we stand for. It provides structure with the strategic plan in keeping everyone up to date on where we are headed as a whole department while providing guidance and supervision. This position oversees our records department who runs our memberships and updates all bio information in the database. Our membership is dues based and with the Alumni Association being a 501(c)3 we rely on our members. This position drives our office in many ways and we would not be able to function and be the Association that we are without this position being at its best.

Role Summary
Assists in alumni engagement development, identifies staff performance benchmarks, directs alumni communications, and oversees implementation of programs to maximize engagement of alumni and friends in support of achieving goals of alumni affairs.
This position oversees marketing initiatives for membership, corporate partnerships, affinity partnerships and merchandising for the Alumni Association as well as oversees all records operations. In addition this is the point person for our strategic plans. The incumbent exercises oversight of and participates in the creation and implementation of membership acquisition and retention effort campaigns; manages the design, production and sales of merchandise and giveaways; selects and manages activities of third-party-vendors, and participates in engagement efforts to build relationships with alumni.
Examples of Work Performed
• Supervise and Oversees all records operations.
• Point person for Alumni Strategic Plans.
• Provides oversight and coordination of printed and electronic membership and marketing communications.
• Prepares and analyzes membership status reports.
• Develops and monitors budgets related to marketing, membership recruitments and retention activities, member benefits, merchandise and programming.
• Participates in the planning and implementation of events to increase awareness of and initiation of memberships.
• Represents the Alumni Association at events and meetings.
• Plans and provides oversight of Alumni sponsored events.
• Conceptualizes, budgets, designs and coordinates print and electronic advertising campaigns.
• Designs emails, postcards, letters, and other pieces for membership and marketing print and electronic campaigns.
• Supervises the distribution of items for events and other giveaway opportunities.
• Develops content and design of website and social media, ensuring accuracy, consistency, branding and visual appeal.
• Oversees and coordinates the corporate membership program.
• Serves as a liaison between vendors and the Alumni Association.
• Performs similar duties as assigned, or as required.
Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Assists in the development of strategic planning initiatives and institutional objectives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, staffing resources, and alignment with the strategic plan.
2. Assists in the development and implementation of institutional goals of alumni relations and operating policies and procedures to promote engagement and networking activities in alignment with the strategic plan.
3. Serves as the subject matter expert to institutional leadership regarding alumni campaign strategies and performance goals.
4. Develops, implements and monitors institutional communication and branding campaigns and programs.
5. Assists with the development of staff performance and goals.
6. Establishes and manages internal budget for assigned target audience within alumni affairs for other academic departments and athletics.
7. Develops and disseminates post-event summary and analysis to guide alumni program improvements.
8. Serves as the liaison for the alumni board of directors for specific schools, clubs, or departments.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
