Role Summary

Performs data analysis and conducts plan audits to maintain the integrity of benefits administration. Evaluates the effectiveness of processes to ensure timely and accurate benefit transactions and collaborates with vendors to resolve benefit related issues. 

Examples of Work Performed

Data Analysis and Auditing: Ensuring benefits transactions are accurate, thorough, and in compliance with standards.

Process Evaluation: Continuously assessing and improving workflows to achieve timeliness and precision.

Vendor Collaboration: Working closely with vendors to tackle and resolve any benefit-related challenges.

Policy Interpretation: Applying knowledge of policies and regulations to maintain consistency and adherence to organizational goals.

Program Oversight: Coordinates activities for the University's drug and alcohol testing program. This includes ensuring compliance with legal and institutional requirements, maintaining confidentiality, and handling sensitive situations with professionalism.

Reporting and Surveys: Preparing and submitting reports and surveys for both internal use and external audiences. This involves accurate data gathering, clear communication, and a strong grasp of the audience's needs.

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following.  Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

  1. Advises current and prospective employees and human resources staff on benefit eligibility, options and applicable timelines according to established policies and procedures.
  2. Receives and processes benefit enrollments and changes.
  3. Responsible for the Employee Assistance Program.
  4. Collaborates with internal groups and external constituents
  5. Conducts benefits plan audits and processes monthly discrepancy reports

Minimum Education/Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree 

Experience: (3) Three Years Experience
