Contractual Services Management oversees University contracts, concerning food services, bookstore, laundry, vending, electronic door access, and security cameras.

Role Summary

Performs technical troubleshooting by leveraging documented procedures and ensuring a high level of customer service in order to support the business and academic mission of the institution through technology. This position will provide systems administration support for the ID card system and security camera hardware and software used by Contractual Services along with other users across campus.

Examples of Work Performed

• Assigns service calls to technicians. Reviews calls for priority.
• Oversees inventory of spare parts.
• Repairs computers and other electronics equipment.
• Determines via telephone contact whether problem is hardware or software.
• Arranges pickup or delivery of equipment.
• Diagnosis failure using test equipment.
• Repairs or replaces parts as needed.
• Uses diagnostic and data recovery software to minimize data loss.
• Coordinates long-term projects by evaluating user needs, physical requirements, and type involvement by other departments.
• Evaluates service support needs for hardware and software. Tests new diagnostic software for suitability and features.
• Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following.  Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

1. Identifies, troubleshoots, resolves, and/or escalates routine and first level technical problems for various products and services.
2. Receives and responds to inquiries and provides technical information through various communication mediums according to established policies and procedures. 
3. Using the ticketing system, log details of work performed, and resolution procedures, after intervention.
4. Assist with training student staff.

Minimum Education/Experience

Education: High School or Equivalent

Experience: (2) Two Years Experience
