Department Summary
The Department of Campus Recreation at the University of Mississippi is seeking a dynamic and talented Coordinator of Intramural Sports & Sport Clubs to join us at TEAM CR and help us achieve our vision of being a flagship collegiate recreation program.

Role Summary
Oversees logistics for one or more recreation programs to promote effective delivery of recreation programs to the student body.
Examples of Work Performed
- Creates, develops, and initiates the planning and administration of intramural sports, special events, sport clubs, and summer programs.
- Recruits, hires, trains, schedules, and provides guidance to student employees including graduate assistants and undergraduate students.
- Develops co-curricular learning initiatives and leadership training opportunities for student employees and sport club officers.
- Coordinates policies and procedures to ensure proper risk management practices.
- Support promotion and marketing for assigned programs.
- Assists in scheduling the use of indoor and outdoor activity spaces for assigned programs.
- Coordinates equipment purchases and maintains an inventory of program supplies.
- Conducts appropriate field equipment maintenance and upkeep for assigned program facilities.
- Makes recommendations concerning operational budgets and monitors expenditures for assigned programs.
- Assists in establishing and implementing short-term and long-range objectives for the Department of Campus Recreation, including compilation of data and reporting of programmatic statistics, as well as assessment of student learning and program outcomes.
- Represents the Department of Campus Recreation and The University of Mississippi on various committees, boards, and associations.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Schedules logistics and secures resources for unit events and programs.
2. Procures and maintains unit program equipment and supplies.
3. Assists in the development of program policies, guidelines, and procedures.
4. Develops targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals, under close supervision.
Minimum Education/Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: (3) Three Years Experience
Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree and one year of related experience can be substituted. Part-time employment and related paid student employment is calculcated at half-time rate when determining if candidates meet the work experience requirement.
