Role Summary

Ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.

 

The Housekeeping Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of public areas, maintaining stock and supplies for daily housekeeping task, cleans carpets, vacuums and mops as needed, cleans elevators on a daily basis, and picks of dirty linen from the floors and cleans the pool during season.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Picks up trash, empties garbage containers and removes trash for disposal.
  • Removes tree limbs from pedestrian areas.
  • Routine cleaning of elevator walls, doors and tracks.
  • Vacuums, sweeps and mops as needed.

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following.  Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

1. Utilizes equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
2. Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances, reports issues to appropriate entities.
3. Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory and requests additional supplies as needed.
4. Documents and reports repairs, violations and pest control needs.
5. Maintains clean and clear entrances to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow and ice.
