Position Description
The ECE Department at Ole Miss is a dynamic, student-centered program that offers ABET-accredited degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. levels. It provides students with a distinctive blend of personalized instruction, rigorous academic preparation, and meaningful research opportunities. With small class sizes and strong faculty-student engagement, the department fosters close mentorship and hands-on learning. Research strengths include wireless communications, signal processing, antennas and computational electromagnetics, and computer engineering, often pursued through interdisciplinary collaborations that tackle cutting-edge challenges. Public and private partnerships further connect students and faculty to industry and government projects of national importance. Beyond the classroom, students gain valuable experience through research, senior design projects, internships, and co-op opportunities. Minimum Qualifications
All candidates are required to have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field before beginning this position. Competitive candidates will have demonstrable teaching ability, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an energetic commitment to undergraduate education.
