We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide audio visual technical support for the on-going needs of various systems across athletics venues.

Role Summary
Participates in the planning, design, maintenance and installation of video delivery, audio visual and classroom technology systems for the enterprise.
The incumbent forecasts and diagnoses technical issues; researches and implements new technology and methods to enhance sports events; troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces equipment; and provides guidance and training to support staff.
Examples of Work Performed
- Conducts research and provides strategies and support for solutions using current and emerging technologies.
- Performs diagnostics on existing A/V systems and repairs or replaces equipment as needed.
- Serves as a liaison with vendors for support on existing equipment.
- Collaborates with staff to proactively communicate issues before they occur.
- Conducts pre-season inspection of event venues and regularly troubleshoots urgent in-season needs.
- Maintains issue/repair log to collect data and compile reports on problem areas.
- Develops and executes plan for issues that may occur during events.
- Identifies and repairs issues during live events to limit impact on the audience's awareness of the problem.
- Manages student workers/GAs during game day to assist in the prevention and resolution of issues during live events.
- Identifies and recommends opportunities for enhancement to achieve goals of live event shows and improve established methods.
- Trains athletic staff to increase knowledge of venue assets.
- Develops external relationships to ensure progressive growth for athletic venue shows.
- Ensures all assigned tasks are in compliance with department, University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Provides technical and operational technology support related to telephony, installation of outside plant fiber, structured cabling, video delivery, audio visual, classroom technology systems and network equipment.
2. Serves as main point of contact on assigned projects
3. Participates in the planning, design and installation of telecommunications, telephony, networking, audio visual and classroom technology systems for the enterprise.
4. Installs, programs and maintains telephony, video delivery, cable television and audio visual equipment
5. Works collaboratively with institutional partners.
Minimum Education/Experience
Education: High School or Equivalent
Experience: (4) Four Years Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Broadcast, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
AND
Experience:
One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.
An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
