Definition of Class
The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, Department of BioMolecular Sciences is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the field of Structural Mass Spectrometry for a position currently open. The successful candidate will join an active NIH-funded research program developing new methods and cutting-edge applications for characterizing the structure and interactions of proteins and carbohydrates. Highly motivated individuals with prior experience in protein and/or carbohydrate chemistry, biochemistry, and mass spectrometry is highly valuable and encouraged to apply.
The University of Mississippi is located in Oxford, MS, which is commonly rated among the top college towns in the country. The School of Pharmacy is ranked in the top twenty nationally for research funding, and is home to the Glycoscience Center of Research Excellence, the National Center for Natural Products Research and the Center of Research Excellence in Natural Products Neuroscience.

Minimum Education/Experience
A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or a related field is required by the time of the appointment. A strong research background with multiple quality publications is preferred. Candidates should have experience in protein and/or carbohydrate chemistry, biochemistry, or mass spectrometry.
