Job Information

The Experimental High Energy Physics group at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position to work on the DUNE and NOvA experiments.

The successful candidate is expected to take on a significant role in the design and development of hardware for the DUNE near detector. In addition, the applicant is expected to participate in the physics analysis of NOvA experimental data from running detectors including, but not limited to, sterile neutrino searches.

Minimum Education/Experience

A Ph.D. in experimental particle physics is required by the time of the initial appointment. Candidates should have experience with scientific programming languages such as Python and C++. Co-mentoring of graduate and/or undergraduate students will be expected.
