Role Summary
This position utilizes creativity to produce and direct various media products. The incumbent schedules production, directs production staff, produces high quality projects within designated deadlines and budgets, and takes an active role in academic curriculum through video production training for students
both in the classroom and in the field.

- Creates documentary projects and institutional productions.
- Conducts interviews and develops stories that convey a meaningful message.
- Composes engaging and informative documentaries.
- Uses creativity and imagination to develop brand identity.
- Creates motivational communication that generates viewer enthusiasm.
- Ensures look and style of videos are produced with creativity and consistency and production deadlines are met.
- Schedules pre-production, production and post-production activities.
- Organizes and maintains an orderly equipment room.
- Establishes a system for students to utilize equipment for approved projects.
- Supervises and/or directs production staff (editors, videographers, student interns, and writers, etc.).
- Provides video production training for students in the classroom setting and in the field.
- Ensures all assigned tasks are in compliance with department, University, Southeastern Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
- May teach a course per semester with necessary degree requirement.
- Communicate with coaching staff regarding internal needs associated with videoboard use during non-competition events (practices, recruiting visits, camps, etc).
- Main contact for External Events (graduations, guest speakers, one-off venue rentals, etc). Coordinate staffing, run of show, all needs associated with event.

Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Creates documentary projects and institutional productions.

Minimum Education/Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Broadcasting or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties.
Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
