Professor of Practice - Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME)

The Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME) at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Practice. The CME offers a unique interdisciplinary program integrating engineering, business, and accountancy to prepare students for leadership roles in advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate manufacturing-related courses
• Develop curricula with real-world, hands-on learning experiences
• Mentor students in academic, leadership, and professional development
• Build partnerships with industry to enhance student learning and career opportunities
Position Details
Appointment: 9 Month
Assignment Type: Non-Tenure Track
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in manufacturing, business, engineering, accountancy, or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing or operations management
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and industry collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience teaching and mentoring students
• Recognized professional achievements in leadership, excellence, or innovation
