Definition of Class
This position coordinates the daily operations of departmental projects. The incumbent oversees, directs, and/or coordinates administrative, financial, personnel, and general business operations for the department and provides technical assistance and support to identify the needs and available resources related to the projects. The candidate would be expected to work from the Oxford campus. Successful candidates may also be expected to travel (typically throughout the United States or Mississippi) approximately 10-20% of the time.
Examples of Work Performed
- Create timelines and project plans for evaluation and applied research projects.
- Manage project timelines and project plans to ensure project activities are delivered on time.
- Work across multiple projects and with multiple project leads.
- Coordinate logistics for site visits, meetings, listening sessions, and workshops.
- Assist in facilitation during site visits, meetings, listening sessions, and workshops.
- Design and coordinate social media posts for the Center’s social media accounts.
- Create other communications materials, such as short newsletters, Biteable videos, etc.
- Maintain and update content on the Center website.
- Assist in coordinating calendars and scheduling meetings for project team and clients.
- Coordinate day-to-day client communication.
- Assist in developing reports and other communication tools to communicate evaluation findings and facilitate learning and use.
Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
- Manages and coordinates the daily activities of departmental projects.
- Researches and identifies needs and resources for projects.
- Assists with designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating efforts for reports and/or proposals.
- Prepares reports and other documentation.
- Serves as point of contact for assigned projects.
Minimum Education/Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
AND
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties.
Licensure:
Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license. (Requirement for Academic Support Center, Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Graduate School)
Substitution Statement:
Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
