Definition of Class

This position assists with the implementation of special events. The incumbent performs various duties associated with event preparation, organization, and conduction.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Assists and oversees the preparation, organization, set-up and break-down for special events. (i.e. conferences, meetings, game days, career fairs, and commencement).
  • Communicates parking policies with departments for hosted events.
  • Provides specific direction for groups visiting campus.
  • Communicates parking processes for events with departments and event planners.
  • Creates invoices for billing.
  • Maintains inventory and orders supplies for events as necessary.
  • Conducts facility tours and answers vendor questions regarding facilities and services.
  • Communicates with vendors to gather information for event coordination.
  • Coordinates and communicates important calendar events throughout the planning process of an event.
  • Ensures proper building maintenance through regular service.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

  1. Assists and oversees the preparation and organization of activities in support of events.
  2. Performs administrative support duties.
  3. Acts as a liaison with clients.

Minimum Education/Experience

Education:
Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED).

 

AND


Experience:
One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.
