Role Summary
Provides direct clinical services to patients and clients, engages in the full range of psychological services, including assessment (psycho-diagnostic and psychological assessment services), evaluation, consultation and/or psychotherapy to promote the mental health and well-being of patients.
Examples of Work Performed
This professional will primarily see students for mental health counseling and formal psychological assessment. This professional will also provide supervision for clinical graduate students in training and will also participate in outreach services for the University Counseling Centers Clinics.
Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Performs patient psycho-diagnostic, psychological assessments and evaluations.
2. Identifies patient psychological disorders and emotional patterns to understand and predict behavior.
3. Provides professional mental health counseling to students in the form of individual, group, and couples therapy.
4. Develops, implements, and monitors individual and group psychological treatment programs with clinical staff and physicians.
5. Completes clinical treatment reports in accordance with department guidelines.
6. Provides crisis intervention services for students experiencing a psychological emergency.
7. Maintains confidential records
8. Coordinates and supervises clinical activities of assigned trainees.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: (6) Six Years Experience
