Department Summary

The mission-of the Office of the Registrar is to preserve the integrity, accuracy, and privacy of all academia records; to interpret institutional and governmental policies to members of the academic and general community; and to-efficiently distribute those records In full compliance with applicable policies. laws, and regulations.

Role Summary

Provides process-related direction for the use and maintenance of enrollment and student records information systems, recommending process improvements and supervising processing staff to ensure high quality delivery of student registration services.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Review and Maintain Student Academic Records in full compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain confidential information in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). 
  • Process Student Records transactions such as Grade Changes, Forgiveness and Exclusions, Transcript Requests, transfer Credit Evaluations, Verification Requests, Name Changes, etc. 
  • Answer general office phones and emails, routing as appropriate. 
  • Assist with Student Records Scanning and Auditing.
  • Assist with other special projects and assignments as needed. 

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following.  Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

  1. Assists in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures for enrollment, student records, and the student information system.
  2. Assists in the development of enrollment and student records-focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives.
  3.  Serves as the liaison among institutional stakeholder groups providing registration information and representing the interests of the unit.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Experience with confidential records management is preferred.
