Job Information

The Ole Miss Athletics Digital Strategy & Analytics Department strives to innovatively enhance the overall brand of Ole Miss Athletics, as well as increase the digital engagement with its fans, student-athletes, community, and corporate partners. This unpaid internship will give Ole Miss students hands-on experience in the intercollegiate athletics.


This program within the digital strategy department is designed to strategically meet marketing goals inside the Ole Miss Athletics Department, while also providing real-world marketing experiences that can be implemented into a variety of industries including, but not limited to, intercollegiate athletics.


General Assignment

  • The digital strategy department is seeking several students interested in pursuing a career in digital marketing or other similarly related fields. Successful candidates will work closely with full-time staff and graduate assistance to develop and execute digital and social media initiatives to further heighten the excitement centering around Ole Miss Athletics.
  • Successful candidates will work in collaboration with other student-workers, as well as under the direction of the Administrative Leadership within the Ole Miss Athletics Digital Strategy, Communications, and Marketing Departments.
  • Student-workers will be tasked with executing social media content creation and distribution, Official Ole Miss Athletics app communication and Rebel Reward program initiatives at the direction of their digital strategy department supervisor. Student-workers will be expected to work events that take place on nights and weekends, as well as occasional office hours.


Experience, Skills, & Abilities

  • Candidate(s) should be interested in pursuing a career in digital marketing and should possess an understanding of social media. A desired interest to work in the sports industry is appreciated, but not necessary. Time management skills are assumed qualities of every successful candidate. Candidates should be aware of the urgency of certain projects and the importance that their deadlines are met. Candidates should be comfortable working on new software programs and under minimal direction once certain skills are learned.
  • Ideal candidates should be interested in pursuing careers in the following fields:

Sports, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, App Development
