Student Worker - Game Day Operations

The Game Operations Department is seeking students interested in pursuing a career in event management or other similarly related fields to fill positions for our 2019-2020 student assistant program.

 

Successful candidates will work in collaboration with other student assistants and Event Operations Group security personnel as well as under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director of Game Operations, Managers of Athletic Event Operations, Game Operations Intern, and other members of the Ole Miss Game Operations and Facilities Department.

 

Student Assistants will be tasked with executing game day set-up, game day responsibilities at the direction of their game day operations department supervisor and other duties as assigned. Student Assistants must be able to work 4 of 7 home football games.

Education/Experience

A desired interest to work in the sports industry is appreciated, but not necessary; however the successful candidate will be highly motivated to represent Ole Miss Athletics. Time management skills are assumed qualities of every successful candidate as is a willingness to perform required manual labor which may include lifting, carrying, long periods of standing and walking, and other duties as assigned. Candidates should be aware of the urgency of certain projects and the importance that their deadlines are met. Candidates should be comfortable in front of large crowds, and be able to communicate effectively with the public and follow through with minimal direction.

 

Ideal candidates should be interested in pursuing careers in the following fields: Sports, Event Management, Operations, Facility Management, Athletic Administration.

Salary/Wage Information

Pay Rate: $7.40
