Role Summary
The Supply Clerk supports the Procurement Services - Receiving department by assisting with the delivery and receiving of packages and materials. This role primarily involves physical tasks and organizational duties to ensure the efficient handling and distribution of inventory, supplies, and packages.
Examples of Work Performed
- Delivery and Receiving: Assist with the receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming packages and materials.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload items from delivery vehicles and ensure accurate handling of packages.
- Distribution: Distribute materials and supplies to appropriate departments or locations within the university.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory, including tracking and documentation.
- Basic Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of the Receiving area and delivery vehicles.
- Customer Service: Provide support and assistance to faculty, staff, and vendors as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, and handling objects, tools, or controls.
- Regular reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
- Periodic talking and hearing as part of communication with team members and others.

Essential Functions

Receives, verifies, stores, issues, loads/unloads, and/or distributes packages, materials, equipment, and supplies.

Maintains an accurate inventory of goods/supplies.

Prepares related reports, forms, and records for shipping, distributing, and receiving goods.

Maintains assigned office files, performs data entry duties, and participates in routine office functions.
Minimum Education/Experience
Education: High School or Equivalent
Experience: (2) Two Years Experience
Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
Licensure: Must possess a valid Class D Driver’s License
